2025 GenConnect Recap

We’re delighted to share another successful year of GenConnect Activities — a huge thank-you to our members, partners, and supporters who made it all possible!

This year’s lineup featured incredible technical events with Stratasys, American Precision, our STEM Voices Series, and insightful sessions on Cybersecurity and AI in Manufacturing.

We also celebrated community growth — welcoming new members, a new web designer, and reconnecting with past chairs who continue to inspire our mission. To wrap up the year, we enjoyed a fun Top Golf wellness activity with members, friends, and family — a perfect mix of networking and relaxation!

We’re so proud of what we’ve accomplished together and can’t wait to see everyone in 2026 for our banquets and industry guest events. The best is yet to come!

MATE INSPIRING INNOVATION

Competitions challenge you to solve real world problems by designing a Remotely Operated  Vehicle (ROV) or other vehicles to complete simulated tasks. Not only do students design a vehicle, they also learn how to market their product, present to judges, create engineering drawings, and write engineering technical documents. Participating in various engineering  competitions give students a chance to practice their professional skills while using their creativity to design, create, and innovate. Click the button to visit the MATE site and learn more about this specific competition.
